Agmark’s logistical advantages as an intermodal company allow us to offer unique delivery options according to our customers’ needs. Owning our own truck and chassis equipment, we can pick up commodities from the supplier and either drive them directly to the customer or use our intermodal system to ship them by railroad using Agmark-owned transload facilities. Our rail-to-truck transload facilities are located across the Mid-Atlantic region. With these facilities we can pick-up the shipment from the railroad and deliver it to the customer locally by truck. Customers can also buy wholesale using rail direct service. This rail and trucking intermodal system offers additional options for transporting bulk agricultural commodities that are more dependable and often more economical than traditional trucking methods. With this system, commodities can also be shipped to and from areas not previously considered, thus creating a larger variety of products to offer customers.
